Elliot Stabler where are you??

Moving away from Food Network.  For some reason, I feel like cooking shows belong in the afternoon, but as afternoon wanes into evening, I enjoy dramatic T.V. or God forbid, reality shows.
"In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous.  In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the  Special Victims Unit.  These are their stories". First of all, I just want you to know that I can quote that verbatim without looking it up.  I have spent years trying to perfect it, and still get tripped up on the phrase "dedicated detectives".  Try it sometime, it is harder than it seems.
I am currently obsessed with this show for one reason, I am trying to catch the episode where Elliot Stabler leaves the show.*

He is such a huge character, not necessarily in a good way.  He is sexist and an asshole.  But the show is just not the same without him in it.  And I think any show that lasts 13 seasons is worthy of a few minutes of my time.  Why has it been on so many years?  And why is it the last remaining show of the "Law and Order" franchise? I can remember a time that Law and Order had about 500 different off shoots of the original.   This one is the best though, the only one I have watched on and off for about 13 years.  What does everyone else think of it?

Just one more brief comment.  How sexy is Olivia?  What woman in our 40's wouldn't want to look like her?  She has evolved over the years.  But retains her hotness.  Good job Mariska Hargitay. My hat goes off to you.

Dontcha just love her?

*oh and by the way, I know I could just google the episode and watch it online but it is so much more fun to clog up my DVR with 100's of episodes of S.V.U. especially since U.S.A. network has decided to run a marathon at least once a week.
